STEC is situated on Speke Boulevard (A561) the southern gateway into The City of Liverpool. Located at the new Venture Point Business Park, STEC lies at the heart of Speke/ Garston. This area lies 8km south east of Liverpool City Centre alongside a four mile stretch of the River Mersey.

Speke/ Garston has experienced major economic regeneration since 1995 and the Speke/ Garston Development Company, Speke/ Garston Partnership and South Liverpool Housing have achieved national recognition for the achievements to date. The area now contains Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Jaguar, Boulevard Industry Park, leading pharmaceutical companies such as Powderject or Eli Lily, New Mersey Shopping Park, Garston Docks, The Estuary Commerce Park and the Marriott Hotel South. As such, Speke/ Garston is proving to be one of the most vibrant regeneration areas in the North West of England.
